Living With Comics

Kurtis J. Wiebe posted a sample script from his comic Green Wake this morning.  He has promised to devote his blog to helping aspiring writers in the comic book industry by posting bits about his process.  So long as there is an interest, Kurtis says he'll keep doing it.  So read up, kids!

Also, if you haven't read Green Wake you should.  It's unfortunately been cancelled but what is out there is well worth reading.  It's the best horror book I've read in years, and that's saying something because I am very particular about my horror.

comicbook.com had this interview this morning with King City and Prophet creator Brandon Graham.  He talks, as usual, about the state of the industry and the quality of of the books coming out.  Also, he talks about Prophet. http://comicbook.com/blog/2012/01/24/brandon-graham-on-prophet-and-the-extreme-relaunch-i-might-feel-skeptical-myself-if-i-wasnt-in-it/

Speaking of Brandon Graham, here's a video where he talks about how he got into making comics when he was young and breaks down his process to an extent.

And for fun, here's your daily bit of Batman ephemera, this time courtesy of College Humor and Front Page Films.
